Welcome to Home Sewn Heart! I am Cindi.
Here is some info about me…
Sewing Education: Started at home in elementary school. Then I took every sewing home economics class I could in junior high and high school. Went off to the Big Apple after High School and was lucky enough to work in The Garment District and take evening classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Ladies Tailoring and Patternmaking. FIT is where my sewing really became an art.
Sewing Philosophy: Extremism is never good. Not in life, or in sewing. Mix it up and be open to new techniques and ideas.
Sewing “School of Thought”: Good Fit and Finish are the icing on the cake! If you invest time in fit and garment finishing – its almost a guaranteed win!
Day Job: Has nothing to do with sewing – which is fine. When sewing becomes an obligation – it looses its joy for me.
Who do I sew for: My family, house and friends.
I started this blog mainly to keep myself accountable because I made a goal to participate in some of the sew-alongs and contests that I see out here in blog land.
